About

A standalone page. It lives in content/pages/ and is built by the same generator as everything else.

Why this is a content file

Hand-maintained HTML pages drift. They keep an old site name in the title, or a canonical pointing at a domain you moved off two months ago, and nothing tells you, because a page with a wrong canonical looks completely normal.

So About is written as prose with two lines of front matter, and the generator supplies the head, the metadata, the structured data, the footer and the sitemap entry. Add another file next to it and it appears in the footer on its own. Delete it and the link goes too.

Say what the site is, who writes it, and how often it publishes. If you use AI anywhere in the process, say that here as well, plainly. Readers mind being misled considerably more than they mind the tool.
